Maria Corti was not only an expert philologist, known to the general public for the success of her novel L’ora di tutti. She was also a meticulous teacher who invested in the civil and cultural growth of young people. Her pedagogical precepts are also disseminated throughout her narrative works, particularly those more connected to contemporary issues. She also contributed to the cultural debate by writing in newspapers to emphasize the formative role of great teachers. This article aims to illustrate the global teaching philosophy of Maria Corti, with some textual examples that intertwine her educational experience with her cultural commitment.
