Abstract

The essays collected in this and the next issue of «Dna Camporesi», drawing on a selection of exemplary cases ranging from Tasso to Zola, investigate the phenomenon of interactions between literary criticism and the positive sciences during the second half of the nineteenth century from diverse disciplinary perspectives, thereby helping to shed light on its many facets.
